Profile:Angela has worked within the family support environment for over 30 years gaining vast professional knowledge and experience through roles in; Family Engagement work within HMPPS, social housing and homelessness management and social research. Academically, she studied for a Social Science PhD that focused on Domestic Abuse, MSc Criminology and BA Hons Criminology, as well as studying for a Diploma in Counselling (Level 3). Angela has also lectured to students in Sociology, Social Work and Criminology and has contributed to academic research and academic publications. Angela also supervises undergraduate dissertation students within her field.
Angela is passionate in promoting positive family ties after separation to prevent parental alienation. This passion led Angela to start up the Family Advisory Service that provides a cost effective, holistic, innovative service that will help to support and promote positive family ties. The mission of the Family Advisory Service is to inspire positive family life through reducing conflict and hardship by providing advice, support and guidance to those who need it.
Service and Support
Angela is empathetic to the emotional and practical support issues estranged parents can face. Her professional experience and knowledge support her passion around the importance of the emotional and physical stability of children from both parents after separation.
Angela supports clients empathetically through the family court process from mediation to the completion and submitting of court papers, and providing support for family court hearings. This includes the completion of Parenting Plans, Variation and Non-compliance child contact orders as well as paternity tests through the courts.
Angela has experience and knowledge of the working practices of CAFCASS and other statutory agencies on behalf of/and with clients. This includes multi-agency practice such as organising and attending; CAF, TAF, MAPPA, MARAC and Joint Protocol meetings within various settings.
