Profile: Ashley has a commitment to securing better outcomes for children and putting a child’s welfare as a paramount concern. This has been throughout my career as a Legal Clerk and as a teacher and senior leader in education for several years where I was also the designated safeguarding officer. I have also been through the family court process and secured a shared care arrangement. I have a genuine interest in facilitating litigants in person on low means to gain access to justice and in no way hold myself out as a solicitor but I have completed both a law degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Nottingham Law School and have high levels of integrity and ethics.
2003 Nottingham Trent University PGCE in Business Studies & ICT
1996 Nottingham Law School Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice
1995 Middlesex University LLB (Hons) Law 2.2 Degree
I live in Beverley and am a member of Families Need Fathers who provide practical and emotional support to those who require it. I aim to become a qualified mediator in due course following a change in career after many years in education.
Ashley has also worked as a Legal Clerk for a firm of solicitors and the Legal Aid Board processing Legal Aid claims and also has a PGCE in Teaching.
